Supporting Muhammad’s Kidney Transplant: A Community Effort

Muhammad, a 5.5-year-old boy from Bangladesh, has been undergoing critical surgeries since he was just 13 days old due to bladder complexities affecting his kidneys. Having already undergone over four surgeries, his doctors have recommended a kidney transplant. Arrangements for the surgery have been made at St. John’s Research Institute & Medical College in Bangalore, India, with a cost of C$28,571. The family had raised half of the amount and sought help from the community. Through the efforts of Omar Faruk, President of BDKWWF, the K-W community raised C$5,000 in October 2021, which was immediately given to the family. We pray for Muhammad’s successful recovery and a happy life with his family.
