First Recipient of Dr. Monzur Kabir Scholarship!

Our best wishes and congratulations to Omar Faruque, the first recipient of the Dr. Monzur Kabir Scholarship. Omar is a second-year student at Chandpur Medical College, Bangladesh.

His tuition fee, expenses for books, medical materials, tools, dining, and lodging total around $1,500 CAD (BDTk. 1,00,000) per year. This scholarship will cover the full expenses for the remaining 3 to 4 years of his program. The first installment of $750 for the current year was handed over to him in October 2021, and $750 will be sent in March 2022. We are proud and happy to be part of Omar’s journey to becoming a doctor.
